Javier Mellado-Cano is currently a phd-student researcher at the IDL (Instituto Dom Luiz). His research focus in the study of the Atmospheric circulation and Climate of the Euro-Atlantic sector since 1685 based on new directional flow indices.
In 2014 he finished the MSc in Meteorology and Climatology at the Faculty of Physics, University Complutense of Madrid. His thesis was based on the use of ship’s logbooks as a source of climate information. In 2013 he finished the 5-years degree in physics, also at the Faculty of Physics, University Complutense of Madrid. His degree thesis was based on the study of atmospheric river and their impacts in the Iberian Peninsula.
