Bio

Teresa Rosa is currently enjoying a research fellowship at Instituto Dom Luiz (IDL), Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon, under the supervision of Prof. Carlos DaCamara. Her present activity develops within the LSA SAF – CDOP-2 Project: Satellite Application Facility on Land Surface Analysis, Second Continuous Development and Operations Phase. Main project tasks include the use of EUMETSAT satellites data to derive and test products and algorithms that will allow more effective detection and monitoring of wild fires.

From 2001-2011 she worked as physical oceanographer in Hidroprojecto S.A., developing studies and projects under the scope of applied oceanography, maritime hydraulics and environment, using mainly mathematical modeling techniques..

From 1996-2001 she developed research activities in IPIMAR (Portuguese Research Institute for Fisheries and Sea) within several projects concerned mainly with the influence of coastal physical processes in marine resources. Activities included in situ data acquisition and processing.
