Bio

Currently Andreia Ribeiro is a PhD student of the Earthsystems PhD Program at IDL, focusing on the development of an agricultural drought risk model for the Iberian Peninsula. Previously, scientific research activity was developed within the framework of the FCT project "PHDROUGHT", for predictability assessment and hybridization of seasonal drought forecasts.

In 2013, her MSc project was performed for agronomic applications using climate modeling. During the masters degree Andreia also performed scientific research on changes in extreme sea-levels. In 2011 she finished the degree in Geophysical Sciences at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (FCUL). The final degree project was conducted at the Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics of the University of Lisbon (CAAUL).
